Last updated: October 15, 2026. These terms cover every private hibachi event booked with Alamo Flame Hibachi. Please read them before you reserve a date, because booking means you accept them.
When you reserve a date with Alamo Flame Hibachi, you (the "Host") accept these terms for yourself and for everyone attending your event.
We run private hibachi dinners at your home or another location you choose in the San Antonio and Austin areas. A chef arrives with the grill, tools, and ingredients, cooks the meal in front of your guests, and keeps the table entertained along the way. Details such as the arrival window, menu choices, and how the show is run can change with the venue, headcount, weather, and chef schedule.
The Host agrees to provide:
Hosts must also check that the location allows open-flame cooking. HOA rules, apartment or lease terms, fire codes, burn bans, and noise or smoke limits can all apply. If your event is stopped or canceled because the venue does not permit it, Alamo Flame Hibachi is not at fault. Please tell us ahead of time about anything that could affect the setup, such as stairs, limited parking, pets, or a space with no cover from the weather.
A hibachi grill means fire, hot metal, and knives. By booking, you understand and agree that:
Guests need to stay calm and follow the chef's instructions around the equipment. Kids must have an adult watching them whenever they are near the grill. The chef may skip or scale back fire effects and other show elements any time conditions look unsafe.
Where the law allows, Alamo Flame Hibachi does not cover property damage unless our team caused it through gross negligence or intentional misconduct. If our team is clearly the cause of damage, we will sit down with the Host and try to work it out fairly.
We are also not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including those from delays due to traffic, weather, venue limits, equipment trouble beyond our control, or something a guest does. If we are ever found liable, the amount is capped at what you paid for the event.
We carry general liability coverage for our catering work. It protects the business and does not make us responsible for things beyond our control. If your venue requires proof of coverage, ask us early and we will see what we can provide. Please also check with your venue in advance about whether hibachi cooking and any insurance paperwork are allowed.
To hold your date, we collect a $100 deposit, which goes toward your final total. The deposit cannot be refunded, though in some cases we can move it to a new date if you ask in time. Your final headcount and event details need to be confirmed before the event date. Canceling late or changing plans in a big way can lead to extra fees.
Unless we agree otherwise in writing, the rest of the balance is paid at the event. If the headcount, address, or start time you gave us turns out to be wrong, service and price may be affected. We may adjust the price when a change comes at the last minute, the chef has to wait a long time, the cooking spot cannot be reached, or the booking details were inaccurate.
A minimum party total of $450 applies on special days. This covers major holidays and other high-demand dates. Not sure about your date? Just ask when you book, and we will confirm the minimum before you pay the deposit.
Tell us about any allergy or diet need before the event and we will plan around it. Please understand that we cannot promise an environment completely free of allergens. Our food is cooked on shared equipment and can contain or touch soy, shellfish, dairy, gluten, sesame, tree nuts, and other common allergens. The Host must pass along every guest's allergy information ahead of time so the chef can prepare accordingly.
When alcohol is served, the Host is responsible for how guests behave. We can end service if things become unsafe for the chef or the guests. We do not accept threats, harassment, or other unsafe or unlawful behavior toward our team, and when service ends because of such conduct, a refund is not guaranteed. The Host is responsible for making sure guests treat the chef and the equipment with respect.
For outdoor events, the Host should have an alternate plan ready. Wind, rain, heat, or other harsh conditions may force changes to the setup, menu, timing, or show. If the chef or our management decides conditions are unsafe, we may delay, move, shorten, or cancel service.
Our team may take photos and video at your event to use in marketing. Tell us beforehand if you would rather not appear. Unless you ask us not to, booking gives us permission to use general photos, video, and content from you about the event on our website, ads, and social media. We will do what we reasonably can to respect privacy requests.
We may decline or cancel a booking for safety reasons, and we may update these terms at any time. We can also end an event if the location becomes unsafe, cannot be reached, turns hostile, or is very different from what was described at booking. In rare cases, such as an emergency, illness, travel problems, or a staffing gap, we may send a different chef, shift the time, or reschedule.
Every event involves live chefs, travel, staff, and fresh food prep, so small differences in timing, preparation, or presentation can happen. If something about your event concerns you, please contact us first and give us a fair chance to make it right before you open a card dispute or chargeback.
By paying, you agree that matters of personal taste, such as flavor, seasoning, texture, entertainment style, weather, or venue limits, do not on their own earn a full or partial refund. At our sole discretion we may offer a partial refund, a credit, or another fair solution.
Questions or concerns can go to alamoflamehibachi@gmail.com.
Texas law governs these terms and any dispute that comes out of your booking or our service, regardless of conflict-of-law rules. Before taking legal action, the Host agrees to talk with us directly and try in good faith to settle the matter. If a court finds any part of these terms unenforceable, the rest still applies.

We can help with bookings, menu questions, scheduling, logistics, and support. To get a faster reply, include your event date, city, and the name the booking is under. We may take longer on weekends, holidays, and busy seasons, but we answer every message as quickly as we can.
You bring the space. We bring the food, the fire, and the fun. We take safety seriously, yet any live cooking comes with some risk, and booking means you accept that.
Our aim is a memorable evening for you and your guests, handled professionally and with clear communication from start to finish. Thank you for respecting our chefs and crew. We look forward to cooking for you.
